A postcard design done for the latest gallery exhibition on campus. I am particularly fond of how the design and type treatment turned out.
The postcard is for a juried exhibition of fabric and fiber artwork done by members of the Art Quilt Association of Grand Junction, Colorado. More of my postcard design work for the gallery can be seen in my Flickr set.
Last fall for a sabbatical project, I went to Italy to do some research for my new course on the sketchbook. This is an image of me sketching in Todi taken by Erik, a fellow traveler. The sketch I am working on in the picture is in yesterday’s post.
A year ago I was traveling in Italy. This is a sketch of the saints portrayed in the frescoes inside the chapel at La Romita School of Art, Terni, Italy. I thought they were intriguing. My fellow travelers decided the one holding an orb was the saint of bocce ball?
