Michelangelo's slaves at the Louvre, a project he undertook for the
tomb of Pope Julius II who died before they were complete.
Michelangelo donated the Slaves to Roberto Strozzi, who brought them to
France. You can see them now at the Musée du Louvre in Paris, France.
The Pyramide du Louvre entrance designed by architect I.M. Pei and completed in 1989 links the galleries below and provides a striking contrast to the original architecture and courtyard at the Louvre.
