The Denver Art Museum has a wonderful collection of Art representing the American West. This painting by Dean Cornwell caught my eye when I was visiting last week.

Trees Outside Loft Window

A small wooded area exists outside my loft window and consists of several varieties of trees in different colors and shapes. This is one of my attempts to capture the conglomeration of colors in that tiny forest outside my window.

The Windows Section

This pen and ink sketch was completed at the Windows Section of Arches National Park in Moab, Utah. I was sitting up close to Turret Arch and looking back on the Parade of Elephants and Double Arch features in that area. It was another beautiful spring day in the west sketching in one of my favorite places.
