Seven Just Sitting on a Shelf

Yep. Here they are... seven more apples just sitting on a shelf.

They're coming...

Well, I decided to continue painting apples and here are 21 more apples. This makes a total of 25 apples for the month. I wonder if painting a lot of small apples is considered cheating in a 100 apple challenge?

Two, Three, Four

I used to hear a saying when I was in college that if you painted 100 apples, your skills would improve over that time with all that experience. I am contemplating putting that to the test. So far so good, I think these apples are better than the first.

Yellow Apple

I have been seeing a lot of apples in paintings lately and decided to mess around with one myself. Last spring I had some of my students draw a circle and figure out a composition inside that circle. I guess this is my solution to the assignment using watercolor and colored pencil.
