... a detail of the previous post so the various shades and hues of green are visible. This kind of thing is probably my favorite thing to sketch! There can be nothing better than the variety and swift water white caps available in the Rocky Mountains in my mind.
I created this sketch inside the front cover of a Moleskine Postal Notebook while sitting on the banks of river in the Moraine Park area of RMNP. The waters were swift and the temperature was pleasant. A perfect summer moment in Rocky Mountain National Park.
A tiny sketch (demo) done of Longs Peak at Rocky Mountain National Park done last summer on June 21, 2014. It was actually a demo and is 2.5 x 5 inches in size.(Quite possibly the tiniest demo I have ever done.)
This is my view from my lodging at Rocky Mountain National Park or rather the Rocky Mountain Conservancy Center. I can see this little cabin/hotel from my window each year and it seems to glow with the evening sun setting every night. I think that warm burnt sienna is one of my favorite colors to paint when ever I get a chance.
The sketch is on page one from Sketchbook Number 54 in my growing collection of sketchbooks. Yes. I have completed most of them or left very few pages remaining in them especially since I started numbering.
