This is what it looked like right before I had to run and seek shelter for a bit. Beautiful.

In Progress Shot - Lower Falls

I took a break for some supper at the Old Faithful Lodge Cafeteria and snapped this in-progress shot of this sketch while I was eating. So that is the beautiful table at the cafeteria in my shot. 

This sketch was a lot of fun. It started pouring rain while I was sketching the initial pen and ink work, so I had to stop and sit out the rain in my car. Then I went back and sat under the trees and an umbrella while I added the watercolor. The rain caused the watercolor to dry very slowly and I am sure contributed to the final results. 

(I sketch these falls at least once on every visit and this sketch is one of my favorites for the experience and the final results.)

 A closer look at this sketch done from the Lake Hotel lounge looking east. This sketch was done with a waterproof Copic Multiliner 0.3 Cool Gray pen. (One of my new favorite pens.)

Sketchbook #55 Pages 4 and 5

This is one of the first spreads from sketchbook number 55, page four and five. After I left Cody, Wyoming, I traveled into Yellowstone National Park via the east entrance and I spent some time sketching in the Lake area in late May.

The Museum at Cody, Wyoming

When I arrived in Cody, Wyoming, I spent some time at the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum. I think everyone should go if they are interested in the history of the West. This was a particularly intriguing display utilizing sketches (enlarged to life-size) from the annuals of sketchbook history.
