Mail Me Art: Open All Hours (The Send Off)

According to the submission guidelines for this round of Mail Me Art, I was to take a photo while dropping the piece off in the mailbox. However, the post office worker stamped it quickly and I couldn't take it after it had cancellation mark. So I took a quick photo right then and there in front of her. I bet she thought I was a strange camper. 

My Favorite Sketching Spot & Me

This is what I look like while sketching at one of my favorite places on the planet to sit and sketch! And that would be Lower Falls from Look Out Point at the North Rim in Yellowstone National Park.

The Museum at Cody, Wyoming

When I arrived in Cody, Wyoming, I spent some time at the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum. I think everyone should go if they are interested in the history of the West. This was a particularly intriguing display utilizing sketches (enlarged to life-size) from the annuals of sketchbook history.

My View on the Road

This was my view as I headed up from Colorado and across Wyoming on May 24, 2015. I experienced snow, sleet, rain and about 5 minutes of sun that day from Craig, Colorado to Cody, Wyoming. 

 

Lamar Buffalo Ranch - Video

This was a small herd of bison that went through the cabin area at Lamar Buffalo Ranch in Yellowstone National Park last week. My Yellowstone Association Institute course concluded there on July 5, 2013 and I will be posting some sketches and pics from that trip soon.

Where do I live?

I recently saw the question asked on dribble.com, "What state do you live in?" and was intrigued by the submissions in response. Although I don't have a dribble account, I thought I would complete the challenge with this image since my head is sometimes in the clouds.

(I took the photo about a year ago on my way home via a Delta connection flight.)

The top images is the inside of my sketchbook. When you open the cover you will find one spread on the inside and it folds out to reveal my custom paisley VW Bus with 12 passengers (daisies). My theme was "Capture and Create".

Upon completion of my ArtHouse Sketchbook Project 2012, I decided to participate in a new project with ArtHouse. This new project was The Sketchbook Project Limited Edition Vol. 1.

My submission reflects my love for the iconic VW Busses which is something I really can't explain.
